Go Campers name their campers after the trip rather than the vehicle, which makes the lineup hard to read from the booking page. "Go SMART" is three different vans depending on which one you click. "Go BIG" is the same Renault Master three times over, separated by gearbox and model year. This page unpicks all of it: one entry per camper, the chassis it is built on, and the numbers Go Campers publish for it.
A few patterns are worth knowing before you scroll. Ten of the seventeen are automatic and seven are manual, and in most cases the two are the same conversion — the automatic simply costs more. The "Budget" variants are not stripped-out builds; they are older model years of the same van, which is why the Dokker goes back to 2016 and the Budget Master to 2018. Eight campers are cleared for F-roads.
The number worth checking hardest is the heater. Thirteen campers have a Webasto that runs off the leisure battery, so you can park anywhere and sleep warm without idling the engine. Three have no heating at all. The odd one out is the Go SMART Manual, which Go Campers list as heated but which in fact has an electric heater that only works plugged in at a campsite — a meaningful difference in Iceland, and one this page keeps separate rather than folding into a tick.
Six campers are not rented all year, which is easy to miss on the booking page and decides whether a model is an option at all for your dates. The Wrangler, the 4x4 TOP, the Xplorer and the PRO come off the fleet from 1 November to 30 April. The California Beach is the strangest case: Go Campers list it twice, and the two listings are opposite seasons — the four-berth build runs 20 April to 10 October, the two-berth build 15 September to 14 May. Same van, different half of the year.
There are no prices on this page, deliberately. Go Campers' rates move with season, trip length and how far ahead you book, so any number typed here would be wrong within a week. Every camper links straight into a live search that puts its real price next to the other Icelandic rental companies for the same dates.

"F-roads" is Go Campers' own permission for that vehicle, not a statement about conditions — highland routes still open and close by season and weather. "Night heating" distinguishes a Webasto that runs off the leisure battery anywhere from the Go SMART Manual's electric heater, which needs a campsite hookup. Campers marked None are realistically summer vehicles. Seats and sleeping spots are different numbers on several models: the Duster and Xplorer seat five but sleep two. "Rented" is the window Go Campers publish for that vehicle; campers with no window listed are available year-round.
Compact, two-berth
Small-car footprints with a bed in the back. Cheapest to rent and to fuel, easiest to park in Reykjavík, and fine on the Ring Road — but you sleep in them rather than live in them, and you cook outside or at the back doors.
Go SMART Budget
Bare-bones Dokker for two
Dacia Dokker — 4.35 m, front-wheel drive
A 2016–2018 Dacia Dokker and the most stripped-back camper Go Campers rents: gas stove, curtains, a storage area and an extra-thick mattress on a 190 × 130 cm bed. Go Campers list no heater and no cooler box for it. At 435 cm it is the shortest van in the fleet, and 6.5 L/100 km from a 50-litre tank is quoted at 806 km between fills.

Renault Express — 4.4 m, manual, 5.1 L/100 km
A Renault Express, 2023–2025, with the most frugal drivetrain Go Campers lists: 5.1 L/100 km and a quoted 950 km from its 50-litre tank. The trade-off is 75 PS, the least powerful engine in the fleet, and a heater that only works plugged in at a campsite. The bed is 190×130 cm with 80 cm of headroom above it.

The automatic half of the Fiat Doblo pair: 130 PS of diesel, 5.8 L/100 km, and a Webasto heater that Go Campers says gives eight hours-plus off the leisure battery without idling the engine. An electric cooler, cruise control and parking sensors are included, and the bed measures 190×130 cm — five centimetres wider than the manual Go ICELAND's.

The oldest Master in the fleet: 2018 bodies that Go Campers say have covered more than 150,000 km around Iceland, with a manual gearbox and front-wheel drive. The layout matches the newer BIG vans at 190 cm floor-to-ceiling, a 190 × 180 cm bed at floor level and a 180 × 180 cm one above, plus Webasto heating, running water and a gas stove. It swallows three bags and five suitcases.

Same 5.58 m Renault Master as the Budget version, but built on 2022-and-newer chassis. There's 190 cm of floor-to-ceiling height, a 190 × 180 cm lower bed and a 180 × 180 cm bunk above, plus Webasto heat, running water, an electric cooler and a gas stove. The 180 PS diesel drinks 8.3 L/100 km, so roughly 1,200 km from the 80-litre tank.

Everything Go Campers will let you take into the highlands with a bed inside the vehicle. Landmannalaugar, Askja and the Westfjords' rougher tracks open up; so do a minimum driver age of 25 and, on three of the six, a rental window that closes for part of the year.

Mechanically the same van as the four-berth California Beach: a 2025 VW, 150 PS hybrid petrol, all-wheel drive, automatic, 900 km from an 80-litre tank, F-road cleared. What changes is the count and the season — two belted seats and two sleeping spots instead of four, and Go Campers rent this build from 15 September to 14 May where the four-seat version runs 20 April to 10 October. Each berth is only 114 cm wide, and the upper pop-top is a fabric roof tent with 75 cm of headroom — which is the harder half of the vehicle to sleep in during the winter season this build is rented for.

A 2023-onward VW Crafter on a raised chassis with larger tyres, a snorkel and an engine bottom shield, cleared for the highlands. Inside it's 175 cm floor-to-ceiling and 320 cm from the seats back to the tailgate, with a built-in fridge, running water, a two-burner gas stove and wool insulation, plus two extra leisure batteries to run the electrics. The 75-litre tank is good for about 700 km.
